Fr.
John wishes to thank the people of Banagher
for their very kind and generous gift to him
as he leaves the parish. I also wishes to thank
you all for your support to me as priest for
a total of 18 years as curate and parish priest.
It was a wonderful honour to serve you as priest
and you have given me so much both spiritually
and morally. I pray that God will continue to
bless you with His great gifts of Faith and
love that is very much part of your everyday
lives. I wish Fr. Eamon many happy years as
your parish priest.

COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION – Christmas
Shop – we are now stocking a selection
of Banagher sports items, tops, jackets, tracksuits.
Also wide range of Christmas items and household
goods. Please call in to support your community.
All proceeds will be used to fund community
activities.

Lights Switch on –
Santa will be arriving in Feeny to switch on
the lights on Friday 5th December at 7.00pm.
Followed by a children’s Christmas party
in the Community Hall - £3 per child (includes
photo with Santa, present and goodie bag). Refreshments
will be served for parents free of charge.
Photocopying
and fax service
- Feeny Community Association are now providing
a photocopying and fax service at very keen
prices. Call Karen on 77781876 if you require
any information or call in at the Community
Office.

– Community Christmas Party – at
Resource Centre – Friday 5th December
at 7pm – Santa will be arriving at the

Mary’s Hall with a Junior Disco 8pm to
9pm, admission £2 and Senior Disco 9.30pm
to midnight – admission £4.

Underage Youth Presentation (Primary 1s to U16s)
will take place in the Community Hall on Friday
5th December 2008 at 7pm sharp. All parents
and relations are encouraged to attend.
The Club AGM will be held on
Sunday 7th December 2008 at 5.30pm in the Community
Hall. A large turnout would be appreciated.
The U14 trip to Croke Park
has been re-arranged for Saturday 13th Dec 2008.
Players are asked to be at the pitch for 8am
sharp.

Banagher U14 football training
will commence on Fri 5th December at Fincairn
Hall from 7pm to 8.30pm
Underage indoor training continues
every Wednesday night in the Community Hall
– Last years U8’s and all new beginners
from 6.30pm to 7.30pm. Up to next years U12’s
training is from 7.30pm to 8.30pm

MARY’S GAC, BANAGHER -
Senior footballers were beaten on Sunday by
Bellaghy 2-8 to 2-7. They now face Kilrea on
Sunday at a neutral venue in relegation play
off – all support is needed at this game.
The Club Shop is open every Tuesday night 7.30
to 8.30pm
The Dungiven local committee of Cancer
Research U.K. would like to thank all
who took part in or supported our recent walk
up Banagher Dam on the 27th Sept. A great total
of £5079.35 was raised for this worthy
cause. Thank you.
St. Canice’s P.S. Feeny -
Is your child due to start primary school in
September 09? Children born between 2nd July
2004 and 1st July 2005 (inclusive) must commence
primary education in September 2009. Application
forms are now available both in the school and
at the playgroup. Completed forms should be
returned to school on or before Wednesday 21st
January 2009.
